Alberta J. Nelson

Alberta J. Nelson, 91 of Waterville, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Redington Memorial Home in Skowhegan with her family at her side.

Alberta was born on December 13, 1926 in Madison, a daughter of Albert and Lucille (Boileau) Huard . She attended the local schools and graduated from Madison Memorial High School.

She was an accomplished musician, playing both the piano and guitar and she truly enjoyed performing throughout the many years. Alberta had a strong belief and faith in the Lord, she liked to read and keep up with current events. She was a kind and loving person who always helped others and she loved to spend time with her family.

Alberta was employed at Porter's Pharmacy for more than 20 years, but will be best remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was predeceased by both of her parents, her oldest daughter, Lucille M. Higgins. She was also predeceased by her three husbands, Albert L. Smith, Charles Royal Fogg and Most recently, Robert L. Nelson.

Alberta is survived by two daughters, Jean M. Wright and her partner Wayne Axelson of Saint Petersburg, Florida and Patricia Doiron and her husband Edward of Clearwater, Florida.

Alberta also leaves behind three sisters, Florence LaChance , Dorothy Jarvis and Germaine Goulette and her husband Richard, a brother in law Don Dunlap, as well as her three grandchildren, Jonathan White, James Higgins and Jennifer M. Sciuto. She is also survived by several great grandchildren , nieces and nephews.
