Jackman

Amanda Shaw, 35, of Jackman, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2017 at her home with her husband Jason, her dogs, Toby and Barrett, her mother, sisters and several friends by her side.

Amanda was born in Bath, Maine on October 9, 1982, a daughter of Milford Rice Jr and Herminio & Antoinette M. Cortez.

She worked in many different fields, including waiting tables in restaurants and general manager of William's Store in Bingham. She loved children, life and being with her family and friends.

Amanda was predeceased by her grandfathers, Jose M. Iglesias and Milford Rice Sr.. By 3 aunts, Mae Garcia, Clarissa Mesa and Barbara Iglesias. By a great aunt Antoinette Nadeau and a niece Aniyah Chargualaf.

She is survived by her husband Jason L. Shaw, her mother Antoinette M. Cortez, her sisters, Angelica Chargualaf and Rebecca Rice. She is also survived by her two dogs, Toby and Barrett, her brother in laws , Scott Shaw and John Chargualaf II. Grandmothers, Celestia Rice Smart and Barbara D. Iglesias.

Amanda also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Analiah Chargualaf, Anisah Chargualaf, John Chargualaf III, Katlin Shaw and Mason Shaw. Her in laws, Bill and Gloria Jean Shaw and Pat and Bill Lindsey, many many good friends, some of whom, knew how special they were in Amanda's life , several cousins, aunts and uncles.

Amanda's family would like to thank all of the staff at Jackman Community Health Center for the care and compassion the have given in this difficult time.

Visiting Hours will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Giberson Funeral Home 18 River Street, Bingham. A funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the First Congregational Church , Meadow Street, Bingham. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Cemetery, Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home, Bingham.
