Audrey A. Wallace, 82, of Madison, went home with the Lord on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Redington Fairview Hospital on Skowhegan.

Audrey was born in Madison on November 30, 1934, a daughter of Odber Cecil and Lillie Pearl (Crabbe) Wallace. She attended the local schools and graduated from Madison High School. Later she received a Bachelor Degree in food service and economics from William Smith College in New York. After receiving her degree she went on the road as an Evangelist, sharing the word of God with all those who would listen.. Audrey was a member of Calvary Pentecostal church in Madison.

She was employed for 23 years at Norrwock Shoe and later she worked for Adult Foster Care for more than 20 years. She enjoyed her years in Children's Ministry and volunteering at Maplecrest for over 16 years, receiving the Volunteerism Award in 1979. She also won the Community Service Award from the Madison Grange in 1991.Audrey also volunteered at the Apple Tree Bakery, were you would often find her labeling products, stocking shelves or her favorite position, greeting people. She loved the bakery.

Audrey enjoyed feeding and helping the poor, making mittens,hats, gardening doing crafts and helping the elderly. She loved children and would often gather as many children as she could and bring them for Sunday School.

She was predeceased by both parents, her sister Marjorie Wallace and her brother Murray Wallace.

Audrey is survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Giberson Funeral Home, 40 Maple Street, Madison A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Calvary Pentecostal Church, Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery .
