Clifford Atwood, 95, of Douglassville, PA/Bingham, Me passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 in Mesa, Az.

He was born August 3, 1922 in Bingham, Me the son of Benjamin Atwood and Florence Huggins. He was educated in local schools. He went on to marry Ann Ross in 1949 in Cambridge, MA and they raised 4 children together in Douglassville, PA where they resided for 44 years.

Clifford joined the United States Army where he was a Sargent in the Army Core Engineers. He served in World War II in China, Burma, and India. He received a Sharp Shooter medal. He is honored on the Honor Roll Memorial in down town Bingham, Me for his dedicated service. After his military service he received his license in electrical engineering at Coyne. He worked for Hershey and area power plants.

He enjoyed wood working and building furniture. A special day remembered is when he was cutting wood while living in Pa. He loved spending time at Carry Pond in Me.

Clifford was predeceased by his wife, Ann W. Ross, his parents, and his sister Evangeline, brothers, Clarence, Reginald, and Stanley.

He is survived by his children, Ross Atwood,, Bruce Atwood, Jane “Atwood” Little Martha Atwood, five Grandchildren and three Great-Grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held for Clifford and his late wife Ann W. Ross Saturday,

September, 30 2017 at 4:00 pm in Bingham Village Cemetery, Bingham, ME. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Clifford's name to the Alzheimer Association on their website www.alz.org
