David A. Heighes, 61, of Starks, Maine and formerly of Westford, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 20, 2017 at his home in Starks.

David was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on July 26, 1956, a son of Clifford and Gertrude (Hurd) Heighes. He was educated in the local schools .

He was employed for over 30 years as an instrument maker at MIT Lincoln Labs in Lexington, Massachusetts. David enjoyed riding motorcycles, participating in Easy Rider Rodeos, Trike Pulls, camping, fishing and being outdoors. He liked to stay busy and spend time with his family and friends.

David was predeceased by both of his parents.

He is survived by his partner Janice Caissie, his children, Candace Heighes, Krystle Heighes, Brandie Heighes , Samantha Heighes, Melissa Caissie, Victor Caissie and Danielle Caissie. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Adam, Lucy, Dylan, Amelia, Dominic and Brianna, as well as his siblings, Kippy and Nancy.

David leaves behind many good friends, old and new and an everlasting memory with those who knew him.

Friends are asked to join with David's family for a time of visitation and remembrance on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 4:00- 8:00 PM at Badger Funeral Home 347 King Street Littleton, Massachusetts.
