Edward C. Pinkham Sr. 67, of Lexington, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a sudden illness.
He was born on August 21, 1950 in Farmington, Maine, the son of Maynard and Rachel (Tozier) Pinkham.He was educated in Maine and Connecticut. Edward was a graduate of Anson Academy, class of 1969.
Following graduation, he moved back to Connecticut and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Returning to civilian life, he worked construction and later went into the moving business. Ed drove truck for several years and eventually started his own moving company, which he owned and operated for several years until his retirement following a disabling illness.
Ed was very active in the Lexington-Highland Snowmobile Club, the New Portland Lions Club, the American Legion and VFW. He loved fishing at the Basin with his three sidekicks, Peanut, Randy and Vernon , spending countless hours doing what he loved.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Jolene Pinkham, his aunt Eleanor Ladd, uncle Emmons Pinkham, his sister Emily of Jackman, brother Steve of Quincy, Massachusetts, seven children, eight grandchildren and his beloved cat “Bigfoot” ,. several cousins and to many friends to name, Eddie will be greatly missed.
A Graveside service will be held in Lexington Flats Cemetery in the Spring, date and time to be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of Giberson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Madison. www.gibersonfuneralhome.com
