Ella Clukey Wing Prevost, 98 of Madison passed away December 21 , 2016 at her home in Madison. She was born in Sangerville, Maine May 25, 1918, the daughter of James and Eva Clukey.

 

Ella worked in textile mills for years after her children were all in school. She enjoyed being active and loved spending time with family. She enjoyed playing Bingo three times a week with the ladies. She always knew how to make a person smile or break out in laughter. Ella was a devote Catholic and had a strong belief in God.

 

Ella is survived by her son George Wing and his wife Judy of Marlboro, MA. and their two sons Michael and Christopher. Her son Charles Wing and his wife Brenda of Hartland, Maine and their two children Amy Stevens and Daren Wing. Also, her daughter Ardis White and her significant other Ronald Hewes of Brewer, Maine. Plus her three children Stephen Sudsbury, Stephanie Sudsbury and Laurie White Pullen. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She also had four step children, Gilbert Prevost Jr, Jackie Tuchtenhagen, Paul “Pete” Prevost and Victoria Manbusan.

 

She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband George Wing and her second husband Gilbert Prevost Sr.. Her siblings Thelma Towle, Edward Clukey, Freeman Clukey and Urban Clukey.

 

The family would like to thank Hospice staff for making her last days peaceful. Also, Gloria Pooler, Terry Jacques, Elizabeth Como, Joan, Jenna, Penny, Maxine and many others. Also Father John, Stephen Foshay, Barbara and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 26, 2016, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 at Giberson Funeral Home 40 Maple Street Madison. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 9:30 AM in St Sebastian Catholic Church in Madison, Burial will be held in the Spring at Ripley Cemetery in Ripley. A remembrance gathering will be held at 11:00 am following the Funeral Mass at the American Legion on Maple Street in Madison, all are welcome to attend.
