Eric J. Plante, 45, of Moody and formerly of Bingham, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday September 7, 2016 in Biddeford.

Eric was born on April 16, 1971 in St Zacharie, Quebec, Canada, a son of Raymond and Bibianne Cloutier Plante. He was a graduate of Valley High School, class of 1990. He later attended and received a degree in engineering for Southern Maine Community College.

Eric was self employed as an electrician for many years and was well sought after for his ability to trouble shoot electrical issues.

He enjoyed bicycle riding, surfing and being active outdoors, spending time with family and friends.

Eric is survived by his mother Bibianne Plante and her partner Richard Burton of Wayne, his father Raymond Plante and his partner Ann Higgins of Bingham, his sister Kathy Plante Hunnewell and her husband Frank Hunnewell II of Bingham, and his two brothers, Casey Plante and his wife Heather of Wells and Brian Plante of Moscow. He also leaves behind two nephews, Spencer Hunnewell and Brennan Plante as well as many friends and relatives.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Robinson Cemetery in Moscow. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home, Bingham.
