I will always remember coming up to Maine in the fall from NJ and flying with Wally in his Cessna 150. I would drive up to the old hanger and wait for him to arrive in his Pickup Truck. One year he was "babysitting" a couple of beehives behind the hanger. It was a perfect spot for them - lots of sun and wildflowers. He had a bench setup so you can sit and watch them. I was amazed how unafraid he was of them and how calm the bees were. Wally helped me become a better pilot and I am proud he was a part of my life and my flying career. My deepest condolences to the family.
