Skowhegan, Lillian D. Judd 89, loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, passed away Saturday August 12, 2017 at Cedar Ridge Center in Skowhegan.

 

She was born February 26, 1928 in Madison to Andrew and Marion (Perkins) Rollins. Lillian grew up in the Bingham area where she spent many years of her life.

 

She worked at Quimby Veneer Mill in Bingham where she met her first husband Walter E. Hovey. She had also worked as a CNA at the Redington-Fairview Hospital in Skowhegan. Lillian lived in New Jersey a number of years before moving back to Maine.

 

She was married to Albert W. Judd June 14, 1997 in Hartland. She and Albert enjoyed camping around the central Maine area, especially their trips to the Happy Horseshoe in New Portland. Lillian enjoyed crafts, jigsaw puzzles, and collecting dolls and she loved her dogs. She will be remembered as a wonderful cook and enjoyed sharing her baked goods and recipes with family and friends.

 

Lillian was predeceased by a daughter, Gloria J. (Hovey) Knight.

 

She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Albert W. Judd of Skowhegan, her children, David E. Hovey and his wife Christina of Wasilla, AL, Donald M. Hovey and his wife Sherry of Moscow, Ellen L. (Hovey) Giberson and her husband Greg, of Brunswick, and Timothy W. Hovey of Biddeford, her siblings, Arlington Rollins and his wife Iona of Bristol, CT, Stanley Rollins and his wife Sue of Chesterville, Mavis (Rollins) Doughten of Skowhegan and Barbara (Rollins) Hartwell and her husband Howard of Millinocket, her grandchildren, Jason Hovey, Christina (Hovey) Ingui, Katherine Hovey, Bret Hovey, Brian Hovey, Beth (McFarland) Parrot, Allison Knight, Mellory (Giberson) Kaserman, Dustin, Tyler and Brandon Giberson, Travis and Jennifer Hovey, 10 great grandchildren, , several nieces and nephews and her Weimaraner Penny.

 

Visiting hours will be from 5-7pm Friday August 18, at Giberson Funeral Home, 40 Maple St in Madison. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am Sat. August 19th at the Evergreen Cemetery on River Rd. in Solon. Lillian’s family extends a heartfelt thank-you to the staff at Cedar Ridge for their loving care for both Lillian and her family.
