Jackman – Louise D. Vienneau Shelley Mason passed away peacefully Saturday, September 10, 2016, at C.A. Dean Hospital after several years of enduring a terminal illness.
She was born to Edmund and Adrienne Vienneau on July 28, 1940, in Holeb, the 3rd oldest of their 4 children. As the family of a railroad section foreman, her family moved from Holeb to Brownville. Louise attended the Sacred Heart Academy Convent in Jackman where she continued to live as a wife and mother raising her three children: Linda, Dennis, and Glenn.
Louise was married to her first husband, William E. Shelley, in 1963. She remarried to Stanley E. Mason Jr. in 2000, residing in Tomhegan Township on the shore of Moosehead Lake. Louise’s life revolved around her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and her family. She always made everyone feel welcome. Louise loved lots of things like baking sweets for the family, lobster rolls, lemon meringue pie, yellow roses and blue grass music. A selfless woman who had a good word and a smile on her face, she put everyone’s needs before her own. She was a devoted Christian at St. Anthony’s/St. Faustina Church and she was a loving friend to many.
She is predeceased by her parents, Adrienne and Edmund Vienneau; her son, Glenn Shelley; her two brothers, Leon and Paul Vienneau; her great granddaughter, Michelle Dunshie; and her parakeet, Piper.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley E. Mason Jr.; her daughter, Linda Hamilton and husband Kirk of Greenville; her son, Dennis Shelley and wife Jill of Jackman; her step daughter, Cindylee Dunshie of Kingman, AZ; her sister, Jeannine Pinette of Jackman; her sister-in-law Evelyn Holloway of Kitty Hawk, NC; her sister in law & brother in law, Dotty & David Mason of Mt. Vernon; her grandchildren, Nikki Hamilton, Cassidy and Miranda Shelley, Keely Taylor & Andrew and Alishia Flagg; her great grand-daughter, Oakley Murray and Carolyn Dunshie; her god daughter, Lisa Pinette; as well as many other loving family members and friends who frequently kept in touch with her.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 23rd, at St. Faustina Church of St. Anthony’s Parish in Jackman. Visitation with family will be before the funeral mass at St. Faustina from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
