Marjorie May Collins

Marjorie passed away at her home surrounded by family on the morning of January 11th. Marge was born May 9, 1946, the daughter of Olon and Kathleen Burns.

On October 5, 1962 she married Malcolm (Bojie) Collins. Together they raised their four children in the home they built in Moscow.

Marge was employed by Somerset Rehab and Living Center in Bingham as a CNA/CRMA for 30 years, retiring in 2009. Over those 30 years she dedicated herself to providing compassionate care to every resident. Many life long friends were made.

She was pre-deceased by a daughter Shellie May.

Marjorie is survived by her loving husband of 54 years. Her three sons, Malcolm Jr. of Fairfield, Scott and his wife Mary of Moscow and Stacy and his wife Jamie of Moscow. Her daughter and best friend Kellie and her husband Charlie of Moscow. She was a proud Mimi to her grandchildren, Haylie and husband Matt, Katelynn and significant other Scott, Nathan and wife Richelle, Emily and Jordan. Great-grandson Ellis and soon to be great-grandson Henry.

Marge enjoyed puttering around her home and taking care of her flowers and plants. She looked forward to her daily walks with her friend Gale. Mom especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch chatting with her family. Her home was never empty, her children and grandchildren stopping in throughout the day to visit. A warm smile and meal always awaited us. Her family was her world and she meant the world to us.

The family would like to thank the nurses of Maine General Hospice for providing our Mom and Mimi comfort during her final weeks. We would also like to thank her brother Sonny for helping her to find peace.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at Union Cemetery in Moscow.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home, Bingham.
