Harmony- Melene Rose Gordon, 77, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2016 with her loving and caring family by her side.

Merlene was born on September 26, 1939, the daughter of Pearly and Mabel Brown. She was raised and schooled in the Bingham - Moscow area. In earlier years she was employed at Cranapple Rafting Company working hard cooking and cleaning. Later, she worked at the Bingham Nursing Home.

Merlene especially loved bird watching, all wildlife and her flower gardens. She enjoyed doing puzzles and playing scrabble. She loved to watch football and was a huge fan of the Patriots, always cheering them on. But more then anything Merlenes favorite thing was spending time with family. She truly enjoyed making each one of us feel special. Merlene always had a kind word and a warm heart. She will be deeply missed by all whose life she touched.

Merlene is survived by her loving husband Robert Gordon of Harmony, her six wonderful children Bonnie Pooler and husband Ernest of Bingham, Vivian Rodrick and husband Danny of Skowhegan, Tammy Ingersoll of Skowhegan, Ralph McLaughlin and his wife Patsy of Hartland, Diane Gadbois and husband Stephen of Massachusettes, Mark McLaughlin and his wife Tiffany of New Portland, a brother Fred Brown and his wife Tina of Moscow and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who will greatly feel her loss.

Friends are asked to join the family in a time of remembrance on Wednesday, January 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Route 201 in Madison. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home, Madison.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their condolences, cards, flowers, meals, kind words and big hugs. All of your kindness is greatly appreciated.
