Solon
Terrance “Terry” Whittemore, 76, of Solon, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Woodlawn Nursing Home in Skowhegan, with his loving wife at his side.
Terry was born on December 26, 1941 in Skowhegan, a son of Alton and Loretta ( LaChance) Whittemore. He was educated in the Skowhegan schools. He was a Deacon and trustee at Solon Congregational Church and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Following high school he worked in the local shoe shops and was a foreman for Drew Roofing, most of his life he owned and operated his own contracting company.
Terry was an accomplished musician and had his own band for many years, Homeward Bound; he spent his weekdays working and his weekends performing. He liked to work in his yard, putter in his garage, watch westerns on TV and he loved the Patriots.
He was predeceased by both of his parents and his son, Terrance Whittemore Jr.
Terry is survived by his wife and partner of the past 35 years, Nancy (Flanders) Whittemore of Solon, by his daughter, Sherry Integelia and her husband Steve of Connecticut, by his sister Linda Whittemore of Skowhegan, by his niece Tammy Steuber and her husband Glen and their daughter, Danielle Herbert.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Scott, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Laura and Karen, his great grandchildren, Tristen, Jayden and William, By some very special friends, Newell Graf, Sheldon Skidgel, Dean and Joanne Chancey, Todd Manson, Matthew Strout, Mike and Celeste, all of the folks on the hill, the staff at DCI in Skowhegan and many, many more good friends .

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Solon Congregational Church, Main Street Solon.
