Violet (Falardeau) Doughty, 1 Feb 1937 - 15 March 2017

Jackman - Violet Doughty, 80, of Brewer, formerly from Jackman, passed away peacefully after a long illness surrounded by her children.

 

Violet was born on February 1, 1937 to Pearl and Aime Falardeau. In addition to raising her family, Violet spent many years caring for others at the Jackman Health Center as a CMA . She enjoyed the outdoors and in particular, fly fishing and bird hunting.

Predeceased by her parents, Aime and Pearl Falardeau, her husband Sidney Doughty, her fishing and hunting companions, Alton Hall (brother in law) and Edgar Falardeau (Uncle) all of Jackman.

 

Violet leaves behind her loving sister and life long best friend Laurentia Hall of Waterville; daughter Sonja Doughty Carter and husband Gary of Hampden Maine; Sons William Doughty and wife Cindy of Plant City, Fl; Lee Doughty and wife Donita of Anchorage, AK. Her grandchildren, Preston Maheu and wife Nancy of Glenburn and Aaron Maheu and wife Kristi also from Glenburn, Me.; Trista Doughty Contorno and husband John of Northport, Florida; Janelle Doughty McRoberts and husband Brian of Plant City, Florida; Leslie Carter of Hampden, Me; Shannon and wife, Lauren Forrest of High Springs, Florida; Ryan and Meagan Forrest of Panama City, FL; Ryan and Nikole Doughty of Rochester New Hampshire; Jeremy Doughty of Anchorage, AK and several beautiful great grandchildren. Her beloved nieces, Pam-Hall Grodin, Deborah Hall-Irwin, Kelly Hall , Carrie Hall-Harvey, and dear to her heart her nephew Keith Hall, her cousin, Donna Leland of Bangor, and Jimmy Maheux of Belfast; several cousins with whom she had loving, life long relationships.

Her children would like to thank everyone for the kindness and love given to our mother during the time she was ill. To the dedicated staff of St. Josephs and EMMC hospitals, a heartfelt thank you for the care and compassion. A Memorial Mass will be announced at a later date.
