Walter F. Parlin Sr., 80, of Anson passed on September 19, 2016. Dad left us, dementia took him from us as well as other health problems.

He was born in Anson on March 2, 1936 the son of Harold and Hermina Parlin. He was employed at Boise Cascade as a young man.

Walter married Theresa Bushie and they had three children, Walter Parlin Jr., Renee M. Carter and Robin L. Mery, who all love and miss him very much.

In 1965 Walter remarried Etta Burgess and they moved back into the family homestead in Anson. He pulled ponies for most of his life, worked in the woods and enjoyed life to its fullest. One of his favorite things to do was eating at Ken’s Restaurant.

He drove shuttle bus for Northern Outdoors and Three Rivers Rafting for several years as well as Sugarloaf.

Walter was always full of jokes and laughs; he was a friend to many. On September 11, 2016 he and Etta celebrated 51 years of marriage.

After several health issues and a stay in the hospital, he was transported to his daughters home where he spent his last few days with his loving wife and family by his side.

He is survived by his wife Etta, his three children, eight grand children, fifteen and a half great grandchildren, a brother Henry Parlin of Livermore several cousins and a great many friends.
