Christine Brown Obituary

Christine “Tina” Louise Brown of Moscow, passed away on June 13, 2018 in Moscow

Tina was born March 17, 1944, St. Patrick's Day. Probably the reason she was so good at finding four leaf clovers. She was born in Anson, Maine. The daughter of Lee and Mary Coro, weighing in at less than two pounds. She spent the first few months of her life in a shoe box in front of the wood stove. She was educated in Anson and graduated from Madison High School in 1962. On February 2, 1963 she married the love of her life, Fred Brown, and moved to Moscow, Maine. Where she raised three children, Randy, Troy and Mary.

She worked at Quimby Veneer for 11 years and then worked at Dexter Shoe for 14 years. She then went to nursing school and spend the next 25 years of her life doing what she loved. She worked at Somerset Rehabilitation in Bingham for 25 years, where she earned the Excellence in Long-Term Care Award for outstanding Care Giving, given by the Maine Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program. She liked to think that she brought as much happiness to the residents as they did her.

Family was very important to her and her children, and grandchildren brought her much happiness.

She was predeceased by her siblings Virginia, Leah, Gloria, Roland, Edward, Adolph, and Raymond. She leaves behind her loving husband Fred of Moscow. Her son Randy of Washington and his children, grandson Eric Seguin and granddaughter Meadow. Her son Troy of Moscow and his wife Sheree and his children, her granddaughter Torey and husband Justin Steward, granddaughter Jessica and partner Evan Castonguay, grandson Joshua and partner Lindsey Warren and step-grandson Chad Towle and partner Whitney Willette. Her daughter Mary Jacques and husband Jeff and their children, granddaughter Amanda Jacques-Snow and husband TJ and grandson Kory Jacques and his wife Catie-Jo. Also, siblings, Julia Ward, Theresa Kirk, Lucy Sinclair, Albert Coro, Robert Coro and Leo Coro and sister-in-laws, Pauline Coro, Nicole Coro, Patricia Coro, and Elizabeth Coro. As well as many great grandkids that she loved with all her heart and many nieces and nephews.

At Tina's request, there will be no funeral services. There will be a gathering of family and friends at the family home on Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 12-4pm.
