MADISON- Dennis Brian Wright rode into eternal life on November 24, 2018.
An amazing man, Dennis was loved dearly, is missed tremendously, and will always be cherished. Our father, son, brother, and friend has left us with great joy in our heart with the memories we shall have forever.
Born in Pottstown, PA on October 4, 1964, Dennis grew up in Stowe, PA with his cars and mischievous friends and could be found on any given weekend cruising on High Street. He spent time in Maine as he was growing up with his family. In 1987, he moved to Madison and began his life here. He got married, and had the light of his life, his daughter Taylor in 1998.
Dennis was a presence in this community and everywhere he went. In 2010, he bought and reopened the Pizzarama in Madison where he made even more friends and fed a community. He was always looking to give to the community, specifically the schools. In 2017, with his ‘’woman’’ Melinda, he started the Skowhegan-Madison Elks Lodge motorcycle “Run for Our Veterans” to help support the veterans of Maine.
Dennis’ adventures were many, from the trips to Florida, to ride with his friends, to time spent exploring the State of Maine on his Harley. Whether cold or warm, a short or long ride, he was on his motorcycle as much as possible. In 2017, he completed the Four Corners of Maine Experience Tour with Melinda through completing the stops with various friends.
Loved ones who predeceased Dennis are his friend Gene Luce and his grandparents Ezra & Eileen Thompson and George & Myrtle Wright. His family, who miss him dearly until they meet again, are his daughter, Taylor Wright; his “woman” Melinda Voisine; his parents Ed & Patricia Wright; his brother Jeff Wright and wife Lisa; his sister Colleen Morris and husband Jim. He is also survived by step son Jonathan Charon and the entire Charon clan. He leaves behind more special friends and family than could ever be counted from Maine to Pennsylvania to Florida.
Our family would like to thank the community for their kindness and compassion. We would also like to thank the doctors, nurses, and EMT’s of Redington Fairview Hospital and Eastern Maine Medical Center for the amazing care they provided.
