Joel Joseph Bishop, 31, of Clinton,formerly of Bingham, died on October 1, 2017 as a result of a car accident on route 201 in the Forks.

Joel was born in Skowhegan on April 11, 1986, the youngest of three sons of Michael and Terry (Roderick) Bishop. He was educated in the Bingham schools and graduated from Valley High School, class of 2004.

He worked as a farm hand at Flood Farms in Clinton and truly loved everything about the farm. For Joel , being at the farm brought him great joy and peacefulness.

Joel had a great work ethic, he was an aspiring boxer, he enjoyed running and being active, he had a heart larger than he was and was loved by so many that knew him. Joel was a proud and loving father and soon to be husband. He will be greatly missed.

Joel was predeceased by his grandparents, Shirley and Rene Bishop as well Maxine and Thomas Roderick , he was also predeceased by an uncle, Timothy Bishop.

He is survived by his parents, Mike and Terry Bishop of Bingham. His fiancee' Laura Flood , his son Cruz Flood Bishop and his daughter Payton Flood Hapworth all of Clinton. Joel is also survived by his two brothers, Michael R. Bishop and his fiancee Ashley Woodworth of Solon and Christopher T. Bishop and his fiancee Misty Lane of Concord.

He leaves behind his in laws, Bill Flood and his fiancee Valerie Harriman of Clinton, Lynda Flood and Brook Jansen of Augusta , his sister in law Katie Flood Gerow, several aunts,uncles,nieces,nephews, cousins and many great friends.

Friends are asked to join with the family for a time of visitation on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 4:00 to7:00 PM at Giberson Funeral Home, 40 Maple Street, Madison A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 11:00AM in St. Peter's Church in Bingham. Burial will follow in Town House Hill Cemetery in Clinton Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home and Cremation services, Madison.
