Bingham,

John E. Goff Jr. of Connecticut formally of Bingham, Maine passed away on April 11, 2017 in Middletown, Connecticut.

He was born in Hartford, Connecticut on December 28, 1938 the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Goff Sr. After High School he proudly joined The United States Air Force.

John married the love of his life, Mary Lou Lafley. He was a dedicated husband and always tried to give his wife the very best. Although John and Mary Lou had no children of their own they did have a German shepherd named Fritz that they loved and cared for as if he were their child.

While living in Connecticut he worked as a corrections officer for the state prison system. After retirement John and Mary Lou moved to Maine where he was a member of The American Legion where he enjoyed spending time with friends and playing pool.

John is survived by his sister in law Sandra Martin and her husband Bernard of Broadbrook, Connecticut and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, siblings and his loving wife Mary Lou Goff.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 2:00pm. in Robinson's Cemetery in Moscow, Maine, with Reverend Tobin Curtis officiating. Arrangement's are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home, Bingham, Maine. www.gibersonfuneralhome.com
