Gosh, I am so incredibly sorry for the pain you are all going through . I have known Jake since he was just a little boy. My mother, Cathy , used to cut his hair when you all lived in Woolwich . He has always, always been such an incredibly nice boy. I have seen him time to time over the years, and he was always smiling and happy for a hug. He certainly was one of those good old boys . ...this world will miss him. Thinking of you all. Especially mom and dad.... my heart just breaks for you.

We met Jake while he was ditching No Rd. He took the time to chat about fishing on Spencer. Jake struck us as a very accomplished man at 30 something years old. We feel bad about not getting to know this person better. Lots of respect for the Vining family for where and how they chose to live and raise these kids. It's obvious Jake got to experience more beautiful wilderness in his short time than most will ever see. We feel sad for this family's loss. Our thoughts are with you.

Dear Lori, and Ken. There really aren't any words at a time like this. When we lost our son, 22 yrs. ago. we were devastated, and unprepared. Time will pass, and some days are better then others. But, I find that you will never be the same again. You just figure out the best way to deal with it. We are so sorry for you loosing Jake. Love to you both.

Going to miss Jake a lot. The last time we spoke was in a store in Bingham. We had a good long talk. Jake was his usual happy self. He had a way of making everyone smile. His positive attitude was so contagious.. Jake will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

We had the pleasure of meeting Jake July 4th weekend of this year. My father, John Bockman, who had a cabin on Coburn mnt, spoke very highly of him throughout the years, I never had a chance to meet him until recently. What a pleasure it was! He had a smile on his face the whole time! Just so sorry that I won't have more times like that with him. Such a wonderful human being and profound loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
