Larry Worster Obituary

Larry Paul Worster of Moose River, Maine, born August 30, 1950, left us to go hunting in Heaven on December 28, 2018. He is finally rejoined with his son Curt, his beloved bird dog Buckley, and his father Ralph in Heaven. Larry spent his working career in the logging industry running heavy equipment and driving truck. Larry’s true and distinctive passion was guns. He completed a gunsmithing course 30 years ago and has since shown his customers his special knowledge and talent: repairing and selling guns at his Gunshop in Moose River. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling in his spare time and especially during the past five years of his retirement. He also enjoyed raising beef critters and pigs and spending time down by his fish pond catching a few trout, but nearly always releasing them to “let them grow more”. He loved feeding and watching the deer in his yard during the long cold winters. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Arleen; his daughter Dawn Amaya of Moose River; his grandson Michael Amaya and his wife Jaymie of Manchester, NH; a special brother-in-law and hunting and fishing pal Allen Abriel of Merrimack, NH; a special nephew Spencer Falardeau and his family; a special niece Tammy Hoyt and her family; a special Uncle Walter Worster and his wife Colleen of Kingman, ME; Several special friends and their families: Harald Moore; Larry Keiper; Richard Hopkins; and Merle Coyle; and many other family members and friends that were important to him. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Moose River Congregational Church United Church of Christ on Saturday January 5, 2018 at 11:00am immediately followed by a luncheon downstairs. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Moose River Congregational Church and/or the Somerset Humane Society in Skowhegan, ME. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home, Bingham.
