Norman Hebert Obituary

Norman Joseph Hebert, 87, of Madison passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 fittingly on Veteran's Day (observed) at his home in Madison surrounded by his loving family.

 

He was born on July 28, 1931 a son of Peter and Rosa (Turcotte) Hebert in Anson, Maine.

 

Norman made a career in the United States Air Force where he retired as a Tech Sargent. He proudly served his country with honor and respect.

 

He loved fishing, bird hunting and playing golf. He enjoyed playing pool at the Elk's Lodge in Skowhegan where he won many tournaments and schooled a lot of opponents.

 

Norman is predeceased by his parents, three sisters and five brothers.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Beverly (Belanger) Hebert, his son David and his wife Jill and their children Tony and Angie, his son Peter and his husband Roger, Peters children Justin and Matthew, his son Tom and his children TJ, Zack and Kristina (Tina) along with seven great grandchildren and eighth on the way, his brother Ken Hebert and we can not fail to mention his beloved dog Brandi who was a faithful and loving companion to Norman.

 

The family would like to give a very special thanks to his primary care nurse Sandra Bacon and all the wonderful staff of Maine General Hospice.

 

A graveside service will be held for Norman on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive in Augusta. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Somerset Animal Shelter In Memory of Norman. 123 Middle Rd. Skowhegan, Maine 04976.
