My memories of Norman....
There may be lot of you that do not know this man in person, but if you are from Madison in the recent years or Norridgewock from years passed you probably know him by his first name, Norman. You may remember him as the guy that walked around town for years. I grew up in Norridgework and Norman lived two houses down from me with his mother. I remember playing in the tree house that they had out behind their house with some of my cousins. We had so much fun in that old tree house. Norman and his mother were kind enough to let us play in it though they never spoke many words, but they would always smile and wave to us. As I grew up Norman was still always around walking all over Norridgewock. Years later to my surprise Norman had made his home in Madison, again he ended up being my neighbor just a few houses down the road. I was really sad when we got the call that Norman had passed away... I felt as though another piece of my past was gone forever. I'm not saying that I knew Norman very well because I did not, but he was like a fixture..... always there. It's sad when things in our life become a memory. While thinking about his passing and my memories of him I remembered so many happy memories that I had long forgotten about. Thank you Norman for giving me those memories back! I can't tell you what that means to me. I know my grandmother was waiting at heaven's gates to welcome you home!
