Adam McAllister Obituary

Adam McAllister

GREENE — Adam McAllister, 42, passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2023. Adam was born an absolute Mainer who loved the outdoors, feeling most at peace on a pond in the middle of nowhere fly fishing for hours on end. A graduate of Oak Hill High School, Adam was a fiercely loyal friend to many. In 2004 Adam earned a culinary degree from New England Culinary Institute in Vermont which led him to work in the restaurant industry across Southern Maine.

Adam liked more than anything to explore the back woods, dirt roads, and fishing ponds throughout Somerset County; he enjoyed watching wildlife, especially birds, and catching trout with his favorite fly, the Woolly Bugger. His gentle nature made him a magnet for cats and dogs, of which the love was mutual.

Adam is survived by his number one fishing buddy, his dad David McAllister, mom Dorthy McAllister, brother Brian McAllister, sister-in-law Erin, nephews Owen, David, and Harrison McAllister; grandmother Mary McAllister; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of Adam’s life will take place in the spring.
