Arthur LeBlanc Obituary

Arthur Henry LeBlanc of Moscow, ME died at the age of 69 peacfully in his daughters home surrounded by family and loves ones on August 8th 2024. Arthur was diagnosed with end stage cancer in June of 2024, just months before his passing.

Arthur was born on August 28, 1954 in Biddeford, ME. His parents were Laurence  and Adrienne(Cayouette) LeBlanc. He attended school in Madison, ME.
His biggest passion in life was always music. He played or "Slapped" the bass (as he would say) for the majority of his life, and he did it with best of them! Over the years Arthur played with many different bands including The Country Choir, The little big band and Suzie and the Smelts (just to name a few). He loved attending jams around  campfires and hosting open mics at The Solon Hotel where he could be seen rocking out with friends and family. When he wasn't just playing for fun, he had "Gigs" at festivals, weddings, and all kinds of celebrations all over the state. When Arthur wasn't on stage, you could almost guarantee he was behind the scenes working the sound. He was passionate and meticulous about his work, making sure people would always get the perfect sound, from every angle.

When he wasn't playing music he enjoyed quiet days at his home in Moscow where he could watch the birds, squirrels, deer and other wildlife in his back yard. When he talked about them he always referred to them as his friends. He had a very cosmic, gentle and caring relationship with nature and always advocated to preserve, protect and respect all wildlife, trees, wildflowers and vegetation. He was someone that would always take time to stop and smell the flowers, look at the roaring river, take in the breathtaking views of the mountains and the beautiful shapes and textures of the clouds and he always encouraged everyone around him to do the same. He touched, and moved the lives of so many people, and musicians throughout his life. He was truly a Rockstar to those around him, who's music, positivity, sense of humor and welcoming demeanor will be greatly missed by all.

Arthur's love and spirit is carried on by his children; sons: Jesse Smedberg- LeBlanc, Julian Smedberg-Leblanc and daughter: Monica Smedberg; His beautiful granddaughters Isabella, and Ayvah Clark; His beloved sister Aldea, and husband Mike Stickney.
