Barbara Jean Steuber

Barbara Jean Steuber, age 60, unexpectedly departed from this world on December 15th, 2023, at Sandy River Nursing Home in Farmington, Maine. Born on July 18, 1963, in North New Portland, Maine, she was the beloved daughter of Nancy and Earnest Sr Steuber.

Barbara was a proud graduate of Carrabec High School, where she began a journey marked by love, generosity, and unforgettable moments. A devoted mother, her children, Shannon Marie Handrahan (spouse Corey Shane Logsdon) and Kevin James Steuber-Handrahan (significant other Gabby Severance), were the lights of her life.

Her warm spirit touched everyone she encountered. A NASCAR enthusiast, she passionately supported her favorite drivers, notably Jeff Gordon. Barbara's artistic talent shone through her love for crafting, creating beautiful latch hook rugs and wall hangings that became cherished gifts for family and friends.

Above all, Barbara found joy in spending quality time with her children, sharing moments of laughter over movies and engaging in friendly card games like Uno, solitaire, and rummy. Her giving spirit and forgiving nature endeared her to those around her, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Shannon Marie Handrahan and spouse Corey Shane Logsdon, and son Kevin James Steuber-Handrahan and significant other Gabby Severance, both of her parents Earnest and Nancy Steuber, her brother, Earnest Steuber Jr., and his wife Marguerite Steuber, as well as her devoted best friend and ultimate caretaker, Frank Benjamin.

A graveside service to celebrate Barbara's life will take place in the spring, providing an opportunity for family and friends to gather, share memories, and bid a fond farewell to a remarkable woman who will be dearly missed.
