-Chad W. Hebert (1955-2023)
It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Chad Hebert after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 12th, 1955, in Waterville, Me to Philip and Theresa Hebert. He spent the first 16 years of his life in Levittown PA before returning to Maine with his family. After graduating and beginning his family, he made his home in Jackman, where he worked for the CP Railroad. Eventually began his own business, CW Electronics, after teaching himself electronics, which included repair and satellite dish installation. Chad made many friends and contacts along the way. During this time, he also led many bands as a guitarist and singer and played throughout Maine and Canada for many years. After his children were grown, he moved back to Bingham, where he began his time as a bus driver and custodian and met the love of his life Jen whom he married in July 2000. Eventually they moved to Solon, where he worked for the RSU 74 school system. He enjoyed working at the Solon School with the caring staff and being surrounded by all the children who attended the schools in the district. During his rich life, it was important to him to be surrounded by his four children and 6 grandchildren as they brought great joy to him and Jen. Together they had many wonderful adventures such as camping, concerts, fairs and family get togethers. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Jen of Solon, his son Shane Hebert and partner Vanessa of Kenduskeag, son Philip Hebert of Raleigh NC, daughter January Poulin of Madison, and son Nathan Poulin of Moscow, along with grandchildren Kani, Storm, Zachary, Kelsie, Noah and great-grandson Kayn. He is also survived by his Mother Theresa (Hebert) Smith and her husband Jerry, his sisters Deb, Becky, Valerie, Denise, Missy and LeEtta., and their spouses/partners, as well as his father in law , Lionel Clark and sister in laws, Kim, Steph and Nicky along with many nieces and nephews and close friends whom he loved. He is pre-deceased by his Father Philip, his sister Tina and brothers Duane and Eric, as well as his mother in law Joan. There will be a celebration of life at Solon Congregational Church April 8th at 11:00, followed by a gathering at Solon Elementary School. Chad valued helping others and had many passions during his life. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice that will help carry on his passion of helping others in need.
