Daniel Brown Obituary

Daniel M. Brown, 77, passed away at home on April 6, 2026, after three years of treatment for heart disease. He was born August 22, 1948, in North Anson, Maine, the son of Maynard and Lucille Brown.

​Dan grew up and attended Mark Emery Elementary School through grade 6, then Anson Academy where he graduated in 1966. Raised with a strong work ethic, he became a gifted welder and fabricator, forming his own business at a young age. His business grew to become Brown’s Welding and Steel in Norridgewock.


Throughout his life, he took the time to enjoy classic cars and Harleys. ​After retirement, he built an antique business for his wife Lisa and enjoyed helping her manage it. He also enjoyed caring for his property in North Anson and spending winters at his home in Florida, where he especially enjoyed his beloved pets, Fiona and Roberta.



​Daniel is survived by his wife of 10 years, Lisa Brown, his five children Dan Pomelow of Anson, ​Jeffery Pomelow of Solon, ​Deidra Pomelow of Madison, ​Jason Pomelow of Skowhegan, ​Jeremy Pomelow and wife Michele of Skowhegan, ​his brothers and sisters ​Neil Brown and his wife Marie Brown of Florida, ​Carol Brown of Vassalboro, ​Nora Murray and husband Bruce Murray of Vassalboro, Brian Brown of Florida, Kym Brown Hunter and husband Jon Hunter of Florida, also dear to Daniel were his wife Lisa’s family her children Aaron Lord, Kalvin Lord, and Alana Lord Jellie and husband Pete, and their children Max and Theo. ​Dan is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.


He was predeceased by his parents and his older sister, Sharon Spaulding of North Carolina.

​Services will be held on Saterday, April 18 at 1:00 PM at the First Congregational Church in North Anson.


​Dan will be deeply missed and his work ethic carries on.
