Eva Nichols Obituary

Eva May Nichols, 71, of Skowhegan, formerly of Bingham, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at her home in Skowhegan, surrounded by her loving family.

 

Eva was born on June 20, 1946 in Patten, Maine, a daughter of Rosario and Jeanette (Dube) Corriveau. She was educated in the local schools and was a communicant of Saint Peter's Church in Bingham.

 

She was a nurse for most of her career and worked for many years at both Somerset Rehabilitation and Residential Facility in Bingham and Northland Living Center in Jackman.

 

Eva was faithful to her religion and enjoyed reciting the Rosary. She loved spending time with family and friends, reading, going to yard sales, playing bingo, and slots at the casinos. She was also known for her love of yellow roses.

 

She was predeceased by both of her parents as well as a brother, Armand Corriveau.

 

Eva is survived by her five daughters, Heather Mackenzie and her husband Kurt of Palmyra, Kariann Nichols and her partner Tim Fennell of Skowhegan, Shay Perryman and her husband Kenny of Oakland, Charity Nichols and her partner Adam Pooler of Moscow, Ida Noonan and her fiancé Jeremy Clement of Vassalboro, and her daughter from another mother, Noel Page. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ariel, Isaiah, Mariah, Ashley, Austin, Cassidy, Rayana and Levi.

 

Eva also leaves behind her siblings, Clayton Corriveau and his wife Sharon, Michael Corriveau, Rosemarie Caldwell and her husband Tim, and John Corriveau and his wife Tonya, and a special nephew, Matthew. She also leaves behind her loving cat Patches and many beloved nieces and nephews. Eva had many special friends including Rosemarie Henderson and her special butterfly Rose. The family sends special thanks to Assistance Plus and Eva’s beloved helpers especially Tammy. The family deeply appreciates the hospice workers that were involved in Eva’s care.

 

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM in St. Peter's Catholic Church in Bingham. A Graveside service will be held in the Spring. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Bingham.
