Frances May (Fecteau) Tatakis

Died July 25th, 2024 unexpectantly with family at her side at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine.

She was born in Solon, Maine January 21,1940 to Emile and Florida (Vecneire) Fecteau. She was predeceased by her loving husband, George J. Tatakis Sr. of 58 years, both her parents, and her sons John G. Tatakis and David E. Tatakis. Leaving behind her remaining children; Annette Allen, Robin J. Scanlon, George J. Tatakis Jr., Virginia L. Tatakis, Elizabeth Willette, Mathew M. Tatakis, Stephen C. Tatakis, Christopher L. Tatakis, Nicole Leeman and the Eighty Nine or so Grand children and Great Grand Children.

She was a loving and caring Wife and Mother of eleven children. As well as an entrepreneur who loved baking and cooking beside her husband in the many restaurants they owned and ran, Fran’s Bakery, Greek’s Diner, Thompson’s Restaurant to name three. The two did what they needed to provide for all eleven children and then also support the community by running Upper Kennebec Valley Ambulance service for years. While keeping a watchful eye and ear on all her children as they flew from the nest, she was available to support them whether by bending an ear, lending a shoulder, or a spare bedroom for a time period. She was always available. She loved crocheting and knitting, but most of all she loved hearing about her grand kids and keeping us all informed as much as possible of the others.
