Fred Orin Mathieu

Fred Orin Mathieu, 64, of Moscow, passed away surrounded with love by his loving family on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

He was born in Bingham on November 27, 1960 the son of Roxie and Edmon Mathieu Sr.. Fred lived most of his life in Bingham and Moscow, Maine. He worked in mills, as well as the woods for most of his life. He loved using mules to haul the trees, as well as his racing. 

Fred spent 28 wonderful years with Judy Barlow and they raised six kids, Fred Barlow. Crystal Brown, Tanya Pinkham, Tammy Blanchard, Phinny Marshall, and Victoria Pinkham. Fred was Bampie to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his love of 28 years Judy Barlow and his son Fred Barlow. 

Fred found love again and married Bernadette Stevens in December of 2021, and also accepted two step daughters, Beth Lamott and Tiffany Stevens. 

 There will be a graveside service held in Pierce Cemetery in Solon on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at 1:00 PM with a gathering to follow.
