Geread C. Falardeau, 69, of Skowhegan, formerly of Jackman, went home with our Lord on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home in Waterville, with his loving family by his side.

 

Gerard was born on May 11, 1949 in Jackman, a son of Edgar and Marie (Bisson) Faladeau. He was educated in the local schools and graduated from Forest Hill High School. While in high school he worked at Bishops Store and had many fond memories of being there.

 

Following high school , he enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving for his country. Returning home he went to work as a mechanic for his uncle Wallace Bisson in Jackman. Later he was a Postal Clerk for the United States Postal Service for 25 years, retiring in 2008.

 

His hobbies included, hunting, tinkering in the garage ans laying in the sun, He especially loive singing with the Kennebec Valley Chordsmen, he sang with them for over 25 years and also won Barber Shopper of the year twice.

 

He was predeceased by both of his parents.

 

Gerard is survived by his two children Tammy Falardeau Hoyt and her husband Timothy of Pittsfield, and Spencer Falardeau and his wife Kelly of Norridgewock, seven grandchildren, Tim Hoyt Jr. and his wife Shanee, Tyler Perkins, Camden Perkins, Keaton Hoyt, Alex Tibbetts and his significant other, Lacey Dillon, Conner Falardeau, Owen Falardeau and his great granddaughter, Braylee Tibbetts.

 

He is also survived by his siblings, Richard Falrdeau and his wife Margie, Marcel Falardeau and his wife Darlene, Prudy Smith and her husband Richard, Susan Falardeau and Lori Poulin and her husband Danny, Gerard also leaves behind Many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

A Funeral service will be held in St. Faustina Catholic Church at 10:00 AM, Jackman, burial will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Jackman.
