Glenn Hartley Obituary

Madison,

Glenn Andrew Hartley, 47, of Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

Glenn was born on January 13, 1975 in West Chester, Pennsylvania, the son of Steven and Kathleen (Wilson) Hartley.

He and his family moved to central Maine during his early years, where he spent the rest of his life. He graduated from Carrabec High School, N. Anson, in June of 1993. Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, returning home after his service, he started his career as a welder, which he did most of his life, inspiring his son, Levi, to be the welder he is today. He was a hard worker and liked to stay busy.

Glenn loved hunting, fishing, camping, and anything outdoors with his friends or kids. He enjoyed listening to loud rock and roll music and was a “jokester.” He will be remembered for having a big heart, always putting smiles on people’s faces and making them laugh.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Glenn is survived by his sons, Levi Hartley and Brandon Closson and his daughter, Kiana Hartley, along with his brothers Brian, Kevin, and Colby Hartley, as well as nieces and nephews, and many great friends.

He will be laid to rest in the Maine Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, date and time to be announced. A celebration of life will take place in the spring of 2022.

In remembrance of a great father and friend, Glenn Hartley, shake and bake.
