Obituary

Guy C. Grant Jr. passed away on January 31, 2022 in Orono Maine at the age of 91 years old. Guy was born on February 26, 1930 to Guy and Dorothea (Corey) Grant and lived most of his life in Belmont Massachusetts. He was the beloved husband to the late Janet Ann (LaPointe) Grant of Stratton Maine and the late Frances (Martin) Grant of Stockton Maine. He leaves behind daughters Pamela Grant, Michele Grant and son Guy Grant, loving son-in-law Kevin Corkery and seven grandchildren. He also had four step children and six step grandchildren.

Guy graduated from Belmont High School and received an engineering degree from Franklin Institute in Boston Massachusetts. He was a combat veteran in the Korean War and was the past Master of Belmont Beaver Masonic Lodge in Belmont Massachusetts as well as Pownal and Bigelow Masonic Lodges in Maine.

A military service will be held on May 14, 2022 at Flagstaff Chapel, Eustis Maine at 1:00 pm with a Celebration of Life to follow at the Stratton Community Center in Stratton Maine. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to either the Mt. Bigelow Lodge #202 70 School st. Stratton Maine or Stopsoldiersuicide.org.
