Herbert E. Edgerly

Herbert Earle Edgerly, 82, of Madison, passed away at his home on June 18, 2021.

Herbert was born in Anson to Wilbert Franklin Edgerly, and Helen Louise (Clark) Edgerly.

Herbert grew up in Anson, and moved to Madison in 1948, he graduated from Madison High School in 1957. He joined the FFA in 1955 when it was new to the school, he competed the state level all three years, in 1957 he was Maine Star State Farmer, and he went to Eastern States Expo and National Convention in Kansas City, Missouri.

Herbert was a farmer most of his life, he was a good husband and father. He married Cathrine Lousie Powers in 1970, bought a farm in East Madison in 1971. They raised two sons, Benjamin John and James Wilbert, He was a member for the East Madison grange for 63 years.

He is predeceased by his parents, three of his sisters, and 1 brother.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, two grand children, one sister and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on July 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Sunset Cemetery in North Anson.
