Anson, “Honore” G. Dube (Gene)
Anson “Honore” G. Dube (Gene), 72, passed peacefully in his wife’s arms on October 3, 2025, at their home.
Gene was born on July 2, 1953, a son of the late Henry and Marguerice Dube. He proudly served in the Army and National Guard for 16½ years. He was also an active member of the American Legion Post 39 for many years.
He was predeceased by his brothers Dennis and George, and sisters Marie and
Cecile Dube.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Dube; sons Honore Jr., Kenneth Dube and his wife Melisa, and Patrick Dube; grandchildren Chelse, Nikk, TK, Jasmyne, Taylor, Caleb, Patrick Jr., Jasmyne, Colburn, and Brook. He is also survived by his brothers Paul, Dave, and Nelson Dube; sister Mary Dube; and many nieces and nephews.
Gene enjoyed his time spent with family and friends. He loved riding his motorcycle, hunting, and playing guitar with his brothers. He enjoyed working with his hands and was a jack of all trades, working alongside Albert (brother) Bonneau as a machinist at Dexter Shoe Company in Skowhegan.
A memorial service will be held at Peirce Cemetery in Solon on October 18 at 2 p.m., with a celebration of life to follow at Kenny’s home in Embden
