It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our father, grandfather. He died peacefully at home July 13th 2023 with his daughters by his side. James passed away only 6 weeks after losing his beloved wife, Norma.
James was born January 21st 1942 in Madison to Lucille and Corneilus McQuarrie. He grew up in Madison and graduated from Madison High School. James was a star football player in high school and the love of the game carried on until his passing. In 1964 he married Norma (Turcotte) McQuarrie, they shared a loving commitment for each other for over 56 years. James and Norma made their home in Madison and where they raised their 2 daughters.
James was a boiler operator for SD Warren now known as Sappi for 35 years. James was very proud of his life he built with Norma and his 2 daughters. James was an avid reader of history and was always eager to catch a high school football game.
