James E Whittemore

James “Jimmy” E. Whittemore, 67, of Moscow passed away peacefully at home with Sherry Moulton by his side on December 21, 2024 after a courageous battle with end stage liver disease. 

James was born April 27, 1957 in Skowhegan, Maine. The son of Ronald and Sandra (Moore) Whittemore. He attended Skowhegan area schools. James worked multiple jobs, last one being at Jimmy's Market and then retired. 

He had numerous friends. If any one of them needed help he would drop what he was doing and accommodate them. 

James loved life, spending great times with family and friends. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. James loved camping, boating, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, and cruising around the family property. He enjoyed his time with the Greenville family, Lee and Julie Young, and the town people that all gathered together to listen to the awesome music of the WOODKNOCKERS. Thank you Robert, Les, Jen, and Manny. 

 He is survived by his life long partner Sherry Moulton, his son Jesse Whittemore and wife Carrie, his grandchildren, Ryan Whittemore and fiance Danessia, Jasmine Whittemore, Isaiah Whittemore and girlfriend Maggie, Kohlby, Emmalee, Katelyn, and Lily Whittemore. His bonus grandsons Caleb Pooler, Jordan Pooler and girlfriend Lindsay. Great-Grandchildren Braelynn, Grayson, and Benjamin Whittemore. Sister Sherry Tischart and children Brent Lawton, and Jill Grace. Brother Michael Whittemore, wife Barbara, and their son Brandon and girlfriend Chrissy. 

James was predeceased by his parents Ronald and Sandra, brother Robert Whittemore, and his fur babies Sidney and Maggie. 

We would like to send a very special thank you to Arthur Rockwell for all the times he helped and spent time with Jimmy.He is a very good neighbor! 

A celebration of life will be June 21, 2025 from 1-5 PM at 93 Howard Road Moscow
