Keith Curtis Obituary

Keith Wayne Curtis, 81, of Norridgewock and Wellington, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

 

Keith was born on May 13, 1944 in Dover Foxcroft, Maine, the only son of Malcom Curtis and Inez "Ward" Curtis. In 1964 he married the love of his life Elizabeth (Lake) Curtis. He was a handyman. He was known for his dedication to his family, community, and the many interests and organizations that were important to him throughout his life.

 

Keith was a man who enjoyed being involved in his community and the things he loved. He was a member of the Grange and was active in the Snowmobile Club. He was also involved with Troop 62 Boy Scouts of Wellington, where he served as Scoutmaster, and was a member of the Order of the Arrow. He also was a licensed Ringmaster for the Maine Draft Horse and Ox Association for the Agricultural Fair. He served as the ATV Maine Director for the Norridgewock Sportsmans Association. In his personal time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, attending Fairs and listening to country and Christian music, with Johnny Cash among his favorites.

 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Curtis; his children, Jeff Curtis and wife Roxanne, Lewis Curtis and husband Ken Whiddon, Brian Curtis and wife Leah, Tyler Curtis, and Raymond Curtis; his grandchildren, Taryn, Justine, Caleb, Joshua L., Sara, Andrea, David, Christine, Joshua, Briana, Ryan, Emitt, and Hunter, along with their respective spouses; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

 

He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Gloria and great grandchildren Conor and Wyatt.

 

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 17 at Giberson Funeral Home, 40 Maple Street in Madison from 4-7pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. at Giberson Funeral Home in Madison, with Pastor Val Vigue officiating.

 

Keith will be remembered for his love of family, his community involvement, and the time he spent helping anyone in need.
