Leroy W. Welch, 79, of Anson, passed away on May, 5, 2025 as a result of a vehicle accident.

Leroy was born in Skowhegan on July 14, 1945 , a son of William L. and Florence (Leighton) Welch. He was educated in the local schools. Following Graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving during the Vietnam War.

Returning home he was employed in area shoe shops and later work doing concrete construction for many years. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 39 in Madison and served on their military honor guard team.

He enjoyed fishing , spending time with friends and helping others in the community.

Leroy is survived by his sisters, Gloria Murray and Jan Welch. As well as many nieces and nephews and lots of good friends.

A graveside service will be held at the Maine Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, Maine. Time and Date to be announced.
