Linda Gero Obituary

 

Linda Jean Gero (Moore, Schopmann), Age76 of Pittston Maine, closed her eyes on earth and opened them in Heaven on October 19,2022. She was born in Skowhegan, Maine on February 3rd, 1946.She was the youngest of seven children born of Jean Evelyn Moore (Steeves of New Brunswick, Canada) and Carroll Everett Moore (Tim) of Moscow, Maine.

 

Linda attended Moscow Elementary School and graduated from Upper Kennebec Valley High School in Bingham, Maine. She attended classes at the University of Maine in Augusta. She worked for both the State and Federal Governments. She took pride in creating a business called "The Twiight Club" which cared for persons with dementia. She Served in the Navy from 1965, to Dec. 1968, earning the rank of Yeoman.


 

Linda is survived by her husband Elwin L. Gero, three children; Robert V.

Schopmann ]r. (& Charity Rouse), James R. Schopmann and Jean

F. Schopmann; two stepchildren; Tim W. Gero, and Doreen E. Gero both of Mt. Vernon, Maine and five beloved grandchildren; Breann E. Schopmann, Zachary V.

Schopmann, Xaviex J. Schopmann, Samantha Harvey and Victoria Harvey, three great grandchildren; Finn, Jacoby and Callum as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by two sisters and two brothers; Norma L. Stevens, and Ellen L. Morin, Keith Moore and Bruce T Moore and wife Debbie.


 

Linda believed God's grace was sufficient for all things. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday October 27th at Trinity Baptist Church, 64 Old Canada Road, Mosscow. from 11am  to 1pm. A Christian Funeral Service at 1pm, and burial following at Union Cemetery.
