Lucas Andrew Gage, 36, passed away on March 29, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and will carry his memory forever. Born on May 2, 1989, Lucas was, above all else, a devoted father, a loving son, and a proud brother. Lucas attended Skowhegan Area High School and spent much of his life surrounded by family and the people who mattered most to him. He had a big heart and a quiet strength, and he showed his love not just in words, but in the way he was always there when someone needed him. He is survived by his son, Lance Kennard; his father, Gerald Kennard Jr. and his wife Tammy of Skowhegan; his mother, Jeanna Gage and her husband Paul Doane of Norridgewock; and his grandmothers, Jean Blackeagle of Canaan and Eva Kennard of Skowhegan. Lucas also leaves behind his siblings, who meant so much to him: Nicole Gillespie and her husband Charles of Norridgewock, Bethany England and her husband Scottie of Purdy, Missouri, Tesla Gordon of Madison, Alysha Jewell and her husband Chad of Skowhegan, and his brother Jason Brooks and his girlfriend Charlene of Skowhegan. He shared a special bond with his many nieces and nephews, who he loved dearly and who brought him so much pride and happiness. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gerald Kennard Sr., and his nephew, Jamison England. Lucas will be remembered for his kind heart, his loyalty, and the love he had for his family. He didn’t need to be the loudest person in the room to make an impact—his presence alone brought comfort and strength to those who knew him. He will be deeply missed, always loved, and never forgotten. A private service will be held at a later date, where family will gather to honor and remember his life.
