Margaret J. Cowan went on to glory April 5, 2023 at age 90. She was born July 11, 1932 to Lloyd and Jane (Knowlan) Hendsbee and was the last surviving child.
She married Linwood (Peanut) Cowan September 5th 1953 and raised Linwood, Ann, Lloyd, and fostered two daughters, Theresa and Joanne Holt. She leaves behind grandchildren; Tracey, Jamie, Lynette, Stephanie, Justin and Garett. Six Great grandchildren; Kaylee, Jordan, Deyon, Bain, Nikita, and Dawson. Four great great grandchildren; Lillian Mckinley, Clayton, and Cooper, as well as many nieces and nephews
She was a life long member with the United Baptist Church, where she was involved in many commitiees and was very involved in music . She later Attended the Corner Baptist Church where she enjoyed fellowship and Christ Community Fellowship where she enjoyed services directed by Pastors Dan Curtis and Tobin Curtis.
Margaret worked as a secretary in a local shoe shop for many years, owned and operated her lunch stand for many years “Margies Lunch” and later retired as a secretary with SAD#59.
She enjoyed vacationing with her sisters and spending time in Rockport, Mass.
The family wish to say a special thank you to Dr. K for his faithful dedication in treating her many health issues, Northern Light and Beacon Hospice Services, faithful friends Pam Thompson and Carolee Barron for their visits and encouragements and for all who kept her in thought and prayer.
Services will be at a later date with pastor Dan Curtis Officiating a graveside service at Forrest Hill Cemetery in Madison on May 21,2023 at 1:00PM if it rains then the service will be held at Christ Community Fellowship, Luncheon will Follow.
