Martha Hall Obituary

 Martha Lee Hall
Madison, ME
Martha went home to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 1, 2026.
She was born on March 16, 1955, in Skowhegan, Maine, to Malcolm M. Hall and Mary (Corson)
Hall of Solon. She grew up on the Hall Family Farm in Solon, the youngest of four siblings.
Martha graduated from Carrabec High School in 1973 (the first freshman class of the new
Carrabec district to attend 4 years and graduate). She graduated from the University of Maine
at Farmington in 1975 with an AD in Early Childhood Education and attended KVVTI in
Waterville with studies in Secretarial Science from 1976-1978. She enrolled in Faith School of
Theology in Charleston, ME, and studied Pastoral Theology and Christian Education from
1986-1989. From 1992-1994, she enrolled in Valley Forge Community College in Phoenixville,
PA, graduating with a BR in Christian Education. She then taught elementary school at Royal
Christian Academy in Front Royal, VA, and was a Kid’s Kamp worker during the summers from
1994-2010. Then Lord called her back to Maine, where she started work as a PSS for Home
Care for Maine. She cared for many elderly people and shut-ins in their homes. Martha always
felt this was her favorite work and a true calling. She grew up in a home surrounded by elders
and loved to spend time with them and listening to their stories, many of which she loved to
retell.
Martha’s favorite pastimes included first and foremost her beloved cat Munchkin, as well as
crossword puzzles, jumbles, Scrabble, canasta, and other games. She enjoyed reading her
Bible, cooking and baking, and researching Hall, Corson, and McQuilken genealogy. She was
an avid moose collector, and her home was a “Mooseum”!
Martha was never married and is predeceased by both her parents, her brother Dana and wife
Jeannie (Pinkham) Hall, and a brother-in-law Randy Dickey (Joan). She is survived by sister
Dianne Lamb (Frank) of Pownal, VT; sister Joan Mitchell (Henry) of Bowdoinham, ME; niece Erin
Godfrey (David) and children Gavin and Charlotte of Lewiston, ME; niece Emily Greeley (Ben)
and son Beckett of Brunswick, ME; and nephew Michael Lamb (Brandi Cahill) and children
Mavis and Malcolm of Burlington, VT.
She was a member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Madison, Maine.
A celebration of life will be held there on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tim
Haynes officiating. A fellowship meal will be served directly after the service at the church gym.
All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Calvary Pentecostal Church
