Mavorite Arlene (Howard) Sargent

      Mavorite Arlene “Howard” Sargent, Daughter of Justin W. Howard and Stella M. “Nutting” Howard, passed away peacefully on Saturday March 9, 2024, surrounded by her family.  She was born February 17, 1933, in Highland Plantation, Maine, and Graduated from Madison High School in 1953. 

      Mavorite married Franklin E. Sargent on July 28,1953 in Kingfield, Maine.  After they married, they moved to Augusta, Maine. They were married for 70 years. 

      Mavorite was a wonderful Wife and Mother who enjoy her family, sewing, outdoor activities and watching wildlife.  Mavorite worked for over 26 years as a custodian for the State of Maine.  After retirement she moved back to Highland Plantation, Maine with her husband Franklin, where they built their retirement home together. 

     Mavorite was predeceased by three infants – April, Howard and Faith, Son Kim F. Sargent, Daughter Jill C. Griffin, Father Justin W. Howard, Mother Stella M. Nutting Howard, Siblings:   Sardis Howard, Ella Rush, Leona Ryant, Leon Howard, Earland Howard, and Lawrence Howard. 

     Mavorite is survived by her husband Franklin E. Sargent, son Scott Sargent and his wife JoAnn, daughter Dawn Sargent Davis and her husband Raymond, daughter-in- law Bedah Sargent, son- in-law Christoper Griffin, sister-in-law Madeline Warren, Grandchildren:   Aaron, Alissa, Travis, Jared, Katelyn, Rebecca, Mia, Great Grandchildren:   Jensen, Willow, Autumn, Lily, Emilynn, Bentley, Maverick and Otto, and several nieces and nephews.
