Maxine Dube, born September 19, 1954, passed peacefully at her home on September 15, 2026. Maxine was the daughter of Louise Dellarma Downs and Henry Downs.

Maxine was predeceased by both her maternal and paternal grandparents; her father, Henry Downs; her mother, Louise Downs; her husband, Honore Dube Sr.; and her brothers, James and Eugene Downs.

She is survived by her siblings Geraldine Jenks, Henry Downs Jr., and George Downs; her sons, Honore Dube Jr., Kenneth Dube and his wife Melisa, and Patrick Dube and his wife Heather; grandchildren Chelse, Nikk, TK, Jasmyne, Taylor, Patrick, Colburn, Brooke, and Caleb; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Maxine was a member of the Legion Auxiliary for 38 years, where she served as president for one year and on the executive committee for several more years. She was very active in helping with the Legion Bingo and the SAL. She was always the top seller of Poppies and raffle tickets.

Maxine was married for 53 years to the love of her life. Her pride and joy was her children, grandchildren, and family. She was always there for special events and to lend a helping hand. Maxine will be deeply missed by all.

Arrangements are through Giberson Funeral Home in Madison, Maine.

A graveside service will be held at Peirce Cemetery in Solon on October 3 at 1 p.m., with a celebration of life to follow at Kenny Dube’s home, 447 Kennebec River Road, Embden, Maine.
