Miranda Sue Lightbody

Miranda Sue Lightbody, 33, of Embden, Maine and Concord, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Maine Medical Center in Portland. 

She was born on August 14, 1986 in Skowhegan, Maine a daughter of David and Lisa “Lightbody”  MacArthur.  She attended Mark Emery Elementary school in Anson, Maine before moving to North Carolina. After her family moved south she attended Central Cabarrus High School in Concord, North Carolina where she graduated in 2005. 

Miranda had a contagious laugh. She was fun loving and quick to come back with a  witty response.  She was kind and loving to people and animals alike. She loved hocky and was quite possibly the New York Rangers biggest fan.  She  loved attending their games. She loved the beach but also loved playing in the snow with her beloved dog Tines. He was her baby. She also enjoyed dancing and kayaking. To know Miranda was to love her.

Miranda is survived by her parents, her sister Nicole MacArthur, her nephew Xzavier MacArthur and her niece Phoenix Kelly, her grandparents  James and Jennie Lightbody,  and  Elaine MacArthur.

A Graveside Service will be held at Sunset Cemetery in North Anson on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 2:00PM.
