Oliver Douglas Ladd

Oliver Douglas Ladd, 74, of Embden passed suddenly at home August 29, 2021. 

Oliver was born March 11, 1947 in Mercer Maine to Frank and Marion (Soule) Ladd. Oliver attended schools in Mercer and worked the family farm. 

Oliver was an avid woodsman who enjoyed logging, spending time outside with friends, putting bread out to feed the birds and animals and tinkering. Many people in the area would go to him to have him change their tires.  

Oliver married his wife Orva in Mercer on October 29, 1983. They were married for 37 years and had 5 children. 

Oliver is predeacesed by his parents Frank and Marie, 2 brothers Sonny and Jack. His infant daughter Donna who passed in February 1978. 

He is survived by his wife Orva Ladd of Embden. Son Jeffrey Ladd, his wife Desireah and their children Autumn and Matthew of North Anson. Son Douglas Ladd of Fairfield. Daughter Peggy Pinkham, her husband Chad and their sons Owen and Evan of Strong. Son Jonathan Ladd, his wife Cindy and their sons George and Logan of Embden. Sisters Ada and Betty, brothers Warren and Blacke. 

Arrangements are being made by Giberson's Funeral Home in Madison.
