Patricia L Wilde

It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that Patricia L. Wilde, 71, passed on February 21, 2023. She was a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, niece, and friend we loved and will miss dearly. 

Patricia, better known as Patty, grew up in Rome with her parents, Samuel and Lucille, and later settled in Norridgewock, where she lived for over 40 years. 

She spent close to three decades working at Redington Fairview Hospital, first as a volunteer and later as a full-time billing clerk. Rain, snow, sleet, or shine, she made a point of arriving to work before the sun had risen. 

Patty had a talent for arts and crafts and, in her spare time, enjoyed projects such as quilting, sewing, embroidery, crocheting, and miniature dollhouses. Year round, she loved reading books of all genres and researching family genealogy. In the summertime, she tended to her vegetable and flower gardens. 

Those close to Patty knew she loved finding a bargain, but more so, shopping for items to gift to her family. She was also dedicated to sending cards to loved ones on holidays.

She had a soft spot for animals, and for over 16 years, she cared for her dachshund Will, whom she loved dearly. She felt at home at the ocean, including trips to Popham Beach and Boston. She also enjoyed visiting with her family and friends. 

Patty is survived by her daughters Tonya and Elizabeth; siblings Richard, Denny, and Julie; aunts Alice and Florence; brother-in-law Donnie; son-in-law Alex; nephews Jason, Scott, and Sam; nieces-in-law Viviane and Lorri; and grand-nephews Benjamin, Donovan, and Berenger; and many cousins. 

A celebration of life will be scheduled in Spring 2023.
